“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love.” ~John Lennon | Under The Blue Door

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” ~John Lennon

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite people to ever inhabit this planet. His presence is forever felt.

Focus for today: I recognize the healing power of all kinds of love.

Animals seem to be natural healers. In the Healing Power of Pets, Dr. Marty Becker explores many health benefits of having animal companionship. He cites studies showing that people who have animal companions also tend to have lower blood pressure, less stress, and fewer bouts of depression or feelings of isolation than people who don’t have animals. And those are only a few of the ways in which animals improved people’s quality of life.

Dr. Becker writes, “Our beloved pets are life vitamins fortifying us against invisible threats: like seat belts cradling against life’s crashes; like alarm systems giving us a sense of security. Taken together, the healing power of pets is powerful medicine indeed.”

I choose to love myself unconditionally, and extend that love to others. – Marie T. Russell

Focus for today: I choose to love myself unconditionally, and extend that love to others.

Love Your
Neighbor... as YourselfLove yourself unconditionally and let that unconditionality extend to those around you. After all, we are all ‘in the same boat’. We all have ‘stuff’ we have carried around… fears, insecurities, beliefs, etc. And we have an inner drive to strive and re-become our Divine Selves. Yet, in that striving must be love for the confused children we have been, and still are at times.

It is time to lift the veil. Start by seeing everyone around you as children who have been confused and blinded who have yet to see their inner Light. Love them for who they are inside, and shine your Love and acceptance to them so they feel ready and worthy to partake in the wonderful ceremony of life on earth. Invite them to partake in the Love, Light, Harmony, and Bliss that is here for all.

We are all souls that have wandered in the desert for years not knowing that the deep abundant well of Love and the support of the Universe was always there waiting for us.
